Watch Ireland v Australia from anywhere

With all that Autumn Nations Series action on TV throughout November, rugby fans who are travelling overseas right now might be worried about missing out on all the fun. While geo-blocking restrictions can often get in the way of watching your usual streamers when you’re abroad, a good VPN (or Virtual Private Network) allows you to take the live sport with you.

VPNs have the useful ability to change your IP address, allowing your laptop, smartphone or tablet to appear to be back home. This means you can tune into the big match, even the TV in your sitting room is thousands of miles away. A good VPN can also improve your online security, which is great for peace of mind when you’re using an unfamiliar Wi-Fi connection.

There are plenty of VPNs out there, but the tech experts at TechRadar and Tom’s Guide both believe that NordVPN is top of the world rankings, thanks to its top-notch streaming and security features. Ireland v Wallabies preview

Andy Farrell knows today’s opposition rather well. Not only did he coach the British & Irish Lions in three Tests against the Wallabies this summer, they’re managed by his old boss in the Ireland set-up, Joe Schmidt.

Ireland have named a side packed with 2025 Lions, including Mack Hansen, James Lowe, Jamison Gibson-Park, Dan Sheehan, Tadhg Furlong, James Ryan and Jack Conan – not to mention captain Caelan Doris, who surely would have toured down under were it not for a badly timed injury. Like their head coach, they’ll be no strangers to the men in gold and green.

Australia finished the series against an Ireland-dominated Lions side strongly, but they’ve struggled since making a strong start to the Rugby Championship. Back-to-back losses to the All Blacks have been followed by a narrow victory over Japan and defeats to England and Italy. Unsurprisingly, Schmidt has shaken things up as the team head into their penultimate game of the year, welcoming back Exeter-based centre Len Ikitau, flanker Rob Valetini and James O’Connor at fly-half. But with Ireland unbeaten against the visitors since 2018, all the signs point to a home win on a mild but potentially wet and breezy night in Dublin.
